Englewood Center
Bright Community Services' Englewood Center provides employment services and case management to people who live in the Englewood and West Englewood communities in Chicago. Services and referrals include training (including vocational training), job search assistance, assistance with logistical issues such as transportation, and a variety of other services. Services are free, and are available right in the Englewood neighborhood.
We also co-host very large Englewood Job Fair and Employment Resource events with our partners. These events feature many employers, but also employment and career resource organizations ranging from training and placement, to college, to entrepreneurship.
For individual employment services, we meet with people by appointment at the site of the Kelly Library, 6151 S. Normal Blvd. (Please note, however, that Bright Community Services does not have an official relationship with the library, although we are very appreciative of their extraordinary kindness.) When it's open, we also meet with clients in the accelerator space of the Greater Englewood Community Development Corporation (GECDC), 815 W. 63rd Street, 4th Floor. We plan to have hours at the following days and times:
- Mondays 4:30 PM at Kelly Library (6151 S. Normal)
- Tuesdays 4:30 PM at Kelly Library (6151 S. Normal)
- Wednesdays 10:00 AM at Kelly Library (6151 S. Normal)
- Thursdays 4:30 PM at Kelly Library (6151 S. Normal)
- Fridays 4:30 PM at Kelly Library (6151 S. Normal)
These and other times are available by appointment. To make an appointment or for more information, please call (773) 597-8865.
